** Summary of

Duties and Responsibilities:

** The College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking qualified candidates for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to assist with Epilepsy Research.

Duties include:

* Conducting a range of in vivo and in vitro experiments.
* Immunoprecipitation.
* Viral vectors studies, including vector design and cloning.
* RNA sequencing.
* Proteomics/transcriptomics and bioinformatics.
* PLA.
* Immunohistochemistry on brain sections.
* Surgery to implant electrodes and EEG acquisition and analysis.##

Minimum Qualifications:

** PhD##

* Preferred Qualifications:

*** Experience in neuronscience (neurodegeneration).
* Proven track record and publications.
* Degree related to the medical or Veterinary field## ##

Description:

** Our research goal is to investigate the cellular and molecular mechanisms of disease modification in experimental models of epilepsy and organophosphate-induced long-term Neurotoxicity. Our ongoing research demonstrated that targeting seizure-induced neuroinflammation prevents long-term neurodegeneration and modifies the development of epilepsy/disease progression##
