FOOD SERVICE WORKER (FULL TIME AND PART TIME)

We are hiring immediately for full‑time and part‑time FOOD SERVICE WORKER positions at Chartwells K‑12. Locations:
Ames Schools – 1921 Ames High Drive, Ames, IA 50010. Online applications only.

Schedule:

Full‑time and part‑time, hours and days may vary. Pay range: $15.00 – $16.00 per hour.

Internal employee referral bonus available.

Prepares, presents, and serves food as needed.

• Perform prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weigh and measure designated ingredients.
• Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from work stations, stove, and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
• Store food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety, and rotation procedures.
• Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment.
• Utilize approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and standard portion control.
• Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service.
• Resolve customer concerns and relay relevant information to supervisor.
• Ensure compliance with company service standards, inventory, and cash control procedures.
• Assure compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
