Hill McGlynn Recruitment is delighted to be working on behalf of a well-established main contractor based in Maidstone, who are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support their continued growth.
Our client delivers a diverse range of new build, fit-out, and refurbishment projects, typically valued between £3m and £15m, across both public and private sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute Quantity Surveyor to take a senior role within a respected and forward-thinking contractor.

The Role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the full commercial management of multiple projects, from pre-construction through to final account.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing project costs, budgets, and forecasts
• Procurement of subcontractors and suppliers
• Preparation and negotiation of valuations, variations, and final accounts
• Cost reporting and commercial risk management
• Supporting junior members of the commercial team
• Working closely with project managers and site teams to ensure commercial success

The Ideal Candidate

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor
• Strong background in new build, fit-out, and refurbishment projects
• Experience managing projects in the £3m-£15m value range
• Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects
• Relevant construction or commercial qualification preferred
