Teaching Assistant – Amesbury

Luma Education Recruitment is looking for an enthusiastic and dependable Teaching Assistant to support a school in the Amesbury area of Wiltshire.

This role would suit someone who enjoys working with children and wants to play an active part in helping pupils make progress, build confidence and enjoy their time at school.

You will work alongside teaching staff to provide classroom support, assist with learning activities and help create a positive environment where pupils can thrive.

• Supporting pupils during lessons and classroom activities
• Providing additional assistance to individuals or small groups where required
• Helping teachers prepare and deliver engaging learning activities
• Encouraging pupils to participate and remain focused
• Supporting children’s social and emotional development
• Helping maintain positive classroom routines and behaviour
• Building positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Assisting with general classroom organisation and day‑to‑day activities
• Supporting pupils to become more confident and independent learners

his position could suit an experienced Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Classroom Assistant, Nursery Practitioner or Youth Worker looking to move into a school‑based role.

An Enhanced DBS will be required before starting. Candidates already registered on the DBS Update Service are welcome to apply.
