Workshop Machinist / Welder

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
As part of our rapid growth, we are recruiting for a Workshop Machinist/Welder to join our Maidstone team, supporting the delivery of high‑quality engineered products that keep our customers moving.
In this hands-on workshop role, you’ll weld and fabricate components using both MIG and TIG processes across ferrous and non‑ferrous materials. You’ll work to production schedules to ensure items are delivered on time and to an exceptional standard.
You will also play an active role in maintaining a safe, organised workshop environment and supporting continuous improvement across processes.
RESPONSIBILITES:
* Welding and fabricating mild and stainless steel fittings
* Inspecting completed components to maintain quality standards
* Operating and maintaining MIG/TIG equipment
* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical diagrams
* Taking part in ongoing training on machining equipment (lathe, mill, band saw)
* Supporting daily planning and prioritisation of workshop tasks
* Highlighting material shortages and efficiency improvements
* Ensuring all work meets health & safety and company procedures
* Maintaining excellent housekeeping within your work area
