Essential Criteria
- Registered Nurse (RGN) with current NMC registration.
- Previous experience working in a GP practice, primary care, community, or treatment room setting.
- Competent in wound care and dressings.
- Experience in venepuncture and phlebotomy.
- Ability to administer vaccinations and injections in line with national guidelines.
- Competent in cervical screening (if required by the practice).
- Knowledge of infection prevention and control procedures.
- Ability to work independently and manage own workload.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of patient confidentiality, safeguarding, and GDPR requirements.
- Basic IT skills and experience using clinical systems (e.g. Systm One).
- Flexible and reliable approach to work.
- Recognised qualification in General Practice Nursing or Primary Care Nursing.
- Experience managing chronic disease clinics (e.g., diabetes, asthma, COPD).
- Experience in travel health and immunisations.
- Competent in ear irrigation/microsuction.
- Experience of spirometry.
- Knowledge of QOF and enhanced services.
- Experience working as a bank, locum, or agency nurse within primary care settings.
Ad Hoc sessions available between 08:00 and 18:30.
Depending on practice requirements and staff cover needs.
