Under the guidance of the Foreman, the Excavator Operator will be responsible for operating heavy machinery to excavate earth and gravel while ensuring compliance with safety protocols. You'll apply advanced grading techniques and maintain effective communication with the ground crew to ensure projects stay on schedule. This role also involves inspecting and maintaining equipment regularly to keep operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate excavator safely and efficiently
• Ensure trench depth, grade, and slope are accurate
• Collaborate with ground crew for grading tasks
• Conduct daily safety and maintenance checks
• Monitor soil conditions affecting operations
Requirements:
• 2 years of construction experience required
• Proficient in advanced grading techniques
• Strong communication skills for teamwork
• Must comply with all safety policies
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
