Salary Range: $60,000 - $65,000
Position SummaryReporting to the Training Manager the Technical Training and Development Coordinator will work in conjunction with the subject matter expert and will be responsible for designing, developing, and tracking the training program for the PNR Ontario. This position will be designing and implementing effective training programs and methods that educate, enhance performance, and provide employees with the knowledge and skills needed to perform their job duties and improve their knowledge to meet current and future organizational needs.
Primary/Essential Responsibilities and Duties- Work with Subject Matter Experts (SME) to crate and develop new training material as required.
- Create instructor materials (course outlines, background material, instructional materials, and training aids).
- Work with the Subject Matter Experts (SME) and Technical Trainers to validate new content in a test environment.
- Maintain existing training programs and material to ensure that programs are relevant and encompass all current standards.
- Monitors end‐user feedback to facilitate continuing improvement of training material
- Simultaneously handle multiple training projects in various stages of development
- Manages training development projects including timelines, development of costs, development of content.
- Support a learning culture to maintain on going employee development.
- Assist the Technical Trainer to meet set goals and timelines
- Represents the company at training‐related meetings
- Establish a learning culture to maintain on‐going employee development.
- Perform other duties as required by the Training Manager.
- Post‐secondary degree/diploma program in a related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Ability to communicate professionally with all levels of employees.
- Ability to create graphics, animations, and other supporting content for instructor led content.
- Experience and success with implementation of new systems, processes, procedures.
- Strong planning and organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Generally works in an office and classroom environment but may require travels to construction or maintenance sites.
- Generally sits for long periods of time
- May require standing, walking, lifting, stooping, or bending.
