Position: BCER Indigenous Relations Specialist Role

You will be instrumental in advancing reconciliation efforts by fostering respectful partnerships with First Nations and various governmental bodies. This role requires expertise in policy support and the development of effective strategies that engage Indigenous communities throughout the regulatory lifecycle. Your collaborative approach will facilitate innovative solutions to complex issues impacting the BCER.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategies for First Nations engagement

• Foster partnerships across BCER and with external stakeholders

• Provide expert recommendations on complex regulatory matters

• Lead and support business improvement initiatives

• Conduct analysis to inform decision-making in policy issues

Requirements:

• Proven experience in Indigenous relations frameworks

• Ability to analyze data and trends effectively

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Familiarity with reconciliation goals and legal obligations

• Flexibility to work from all BCER office locations
