Security Officer at Cumberland Regional Health Care

Protect patients and staff as a Full-Time Security Officer at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre.

Your role includes monitoring and responding to various situations efficiently.

In this position based in Amherst, Nova Scotia, you'll conduct safety patrols, manage access to critical areas, and operate surveillance systems. Responding rapidly to emergencies while providing customer service is crucial, alongside documenting incidents and collaboration with hospital staff for a secure environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular patrols throughout hospital premises

• Monitor security systems for suspicious activities

• Enforce access controls for restricted areas

• Respond to medical emergencies and evacuations

• Assist visitors and staff with directions and support

Requirements:

• Must be eligible for a provincial Security License

• Hold valid Intermediate First Aid & CPR - Level C certification

• Fluency in English is necessary

• Background in security or law enforcement preferred

• Required certifications in Use of Force and Management of Aggressive Behavior
