Overview
The Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences is searching for an Assistant Professor for a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track position beginning September 2026. The successful candidate will be teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses; advising students; providing service to the department, school, and university; and establishing an independent, fundable research program.
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses.
- Advise students.
- Provide service to the department, school, and university.
- Establish an independent, fundable research program.
- PhD (or equivalent) in audiology, hearing science, or a related discipline by the appointment date.
- All areas of expertise related to audiology and hearing science will be considered.
- We are particularly interested in applicants who conduct research in pediatrics, hearing technologies, and/or public health approaches to hearing healthcare.
- Applicants are not required to hold an ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A); however, they must possess the ability to teach courses in the Doctor of Audiology program.
- Candidates should have a strong record of peer-reviewed publications commensurate with career stage, evidence of independent and collaborative research potential, demonstrated potential to develop an extramurally funded research program, and an interest in developing excellent teaching skills.
