Service Net – Amherst, MA

Schedule: Full‑time, Sun–Thurs 9a–5p (flexible hours, may include weekends)

Pay: $18.00–$20.00 per hour (additional $2.00 for MAP certification)

Mental Health Outreach counselors provide and assist program participants with information and strategies to reach their recovery goals. As part of a multidisciplinary team they promote a model of treatment and support focused on resiliency, hope, and recovery.

• Assist participants residing in a variety of settings to attain individualized recovery goals and objectives.
• Work closely with the team in developing participants’ treatment plans, supporting involvement and reviewing identified goals and tasks weekly.
• Use strategies and interventions to restore and teach daily living skills necessary for safe housing, self‑care, work, education or pre‑vocational training, social relations, financial stability, transportation and medication independence.
• Provide monitoring as needed to maintain a safe living environment in the community.
• Provide transportation for participants as assigned by program supervisors.
• Complete all required documentation.
• Attend weekly team meetings, trainings and other scheduled gatherings.
• Assist in MHRS residential programs as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience working with people in mental health recovery.
• Valid driver’s license, vehicle and clean motor vehicle record required.
