Pharmacy Technician

Our Pharmacy Technicians (Technicians) play a critical role in supporting our pharmacy teams to consistently deliver on our brand promise. As a Technician, you will support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence within your store. You will be the first point of contact to assist our patients and customers, ensuring prescriptions are filled promptly, safely and accurately, and providing caring service that exceeds patient expectations.

• Follow all company SOPs and pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation (production, pick‑up, drive‑thru and drop‑off) for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
• Show empathy and genuine care to create heartfelt moments while serving patients at pick‑up, drive‑thru and over the phone; offer immunizations and other services at the register and over the phone; solve or raise patient problems with compassion.
• Complete basic inventory activities such as putting away medication deliveries, cycle counts, returns‑to‑stocks, waiting‑bin inventories, etc.
• Contribute to a high‑performing team, embrace a growth mindset, actively seek opportunities to expand clinical and technical knowledge.
• Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs; willing to travel to stores in the market as required.
• Comply with all federal, state and local laws and CVS policies related to patient safety, controlled substances, recordkeeping and privacy.
• Deliver additional patient health care services such as immunizations, point‑of‑care testing, and voluntarily staffing off‑site clinics when allowed by law and training.

• State board of pharmacy requirements (age, education, licensure/certification); must be at least 16 years old if no minimum age specified and have high school diploma or equivalent if no minimum education specified.
• Complete a rigorous company training program and satisfy all registration, licensing and certification requirements according to state Board of Pharmacy guidelines.
• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Strong customer service, communication, and team orientation skills.
• Mathematical reasoning ability for prescription preparation.
• Physical ability to lift, scan, bag and move items, and to maintain an upright posture for extended periods.
• Preferred: 1‑3 years of previous pharmacy technician experience and experience in a customer‑service or retail environment.

• 40‑hour full‑time position

• Hourly rate: $17.00 – $27.00 (depends on experience, geography and other factors)
