Account Executive – ARUP Laboratories
Schedule: Monday – Friday (40 hrs/wk), 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Purpose:
This Account Executive will cover WV, VA, Central South PA, DC, MD & DE (Eastern 4 Region), live in the territory near a metropolitan airport, develop and execute sales strategies for Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), hospitals and reference laboratory accounts, meet revenue objectives, build relationships with executives, and collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Operations and Finance.

Essential Functions- Target and maintain prospective large regional IDN opportunities, hospitals, and assigned reference laboratories.
- Develop, refine, and employ key customer sales strategies.
- Execute cross‑functional and cross‑segment strategies aligned with overall company objectives.
- Manage relationships with targeted accounts and key business leaders (CEO, CFO, CMO) to close new business and ensure retention.
- Develop relevant business plans with clear strategies and objectives at the IDN and account level.
- Create detailed implementation plans to secure contracts, maximize sales value, and coordinate key stakeholders.
- Ensure contract optimization through implementation strategies and formal business reviews.
- Communicate ARUP’s value proposition at all levels within assigned accounts.
- Conduct annual formal business reviews in top accounts.
- Document all activities in ARUP CRM.
- Perform strategic business calls and meet ARUP minimum SBC requirements for frequency and GPA.
- Implement value‑added programs throughout account contracts.
- Meet quarterly continuing education requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all company policy and government regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Stooping, reaching, mobility, communication, sedentary work (light lifting up to 10 lbs).
- Travel 40–60% of the time.
- Valid state driver’s license with no recent moving violations or alcohol/drug violations.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field (Required). Master’s degree in Business Administration or related field (Preferred).
- Experience: Minimum three (3) years directly related sales experience or one year as ARUP Associate A‑E; experience selling to C‑suite in IDNs; laboratory sales experience; strategy implementation experience.
- Licenses: Valid driver’s license.
