A well-established Primary School Specialist ASD Unit in Ammanford is seeking a caring, proactive, and committed ASD Learning Support Assistant to support a mixed‑age class of pupils with a range of complex needs. This role includes essential personal care duties such as feeding, changing, and toileting support.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and group learning support in a structured ASD specialist setting
- Assist with personalised learning programmes, communication development and sensory activities
- Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
- Deliver personal care, including feeding, changing, toileting and hygiene
- Help create a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
- Work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team with teachers, ALNCOs, therapists and parents
- Experience in ALN/SEN or supporting children with ASD (desirable)
- Confidence with personal care duties
- Calm, patient and compassionate nature
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt, use initiative and follow structured routines
- Relevant qualifications (TA Level 2/3, Childcare, Health & Social Care, ALN training) are beneficial
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
