Are you a compassionate, dedicated individual looking for a rewarding role where you can truly make an impact? We’re looking for caring and enthusiastic Support Workers to join our Supported Living team in Ammanford. This is an 18.5 hour Support Worker role, with an additional 9 hour sleep in shift (27.5 hours per week). Due to the specific needs of the individuals we support [and current legal guidance], this role is only open to applicants who are biologically female.
A full UK manual licence is required to be able to drive Motability cars. This service operates 24/7, so flexibility is key. You’ll work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins. Typical day shifts run from 7am – 11pm with sleep-ins as additional hours. The Role
Our friendly team supports two incredible individuals with learning disabilities and mental health needs in their home, just a short walk from Ammanford town centre. Staff also support an individual with learning disabilities, who lives in the complex flat attached to the house. These individuals are active, engaged, and love volunteering, aqua aerobics, Zumba, cinema trips, and one has even competed in the Olympics!

As a Support Worker, you’ll play a key role in helping individuals develop life skills, enjoy their hobbies, and stay connected to their community. Your day-to-day might include:
- Supporting independence in cooking, budgeting, and household tasks
- Administering medication
- Encouraging and supporting hobbies like hiking, fitness classes, and social outings
- Helping individuals access community activities and local groups
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Assisting with cleaning, administration, and team collaboration
- Bringing fresh ideas to enhance the lives of the people we support
- Using digital platforms to complete risk assessments
- Handling petty cash
A background of working with people with physical or mental health needs is desired, but not necessary as full training and support from senior staff and management is provided.

Pay and Pensions- £24,531 (£12.75 per hour)
- Sleep‑in rate: £62.64 per 8 hour shift – approx. 1 per week.
- Waking night rate: 20% Enhancement from 11pm to 7am
