JDR Recruitment are working in partnership with a well-established manufacturing business to recruit a Glass Operative to support the production of high-quality glazed units.
You will play a key role within the glass department, ensuring glass components are handled, assembled, and inspected to the highest quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities- Safe handling of glass at all times, following correct manual handling procedures
- Assembly of double‑glazed units using correct spacers, sealants, and glass types
- Inspection of glass before and after processing to ensure quality standards are met
- Cleaning and preparation of glass for assembly and installation
- Operating machinery in line with health & safety guidelines and SOPs
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area
- Reporting faults, defects, or safety concerns to supervision
- Working to production targets while minimising waste
- Collaborating with other departments to support production flow
- Monday to Thursday: 14:15 PM – 00:00 PM
- Friday, Saturday & Sunday:
Off each week (long weekend) - Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment (glazing experience desirable)
- Strong attention to detail and good manual dexterity
- Ability to follow measurements, specifications, and instructions accurately
- Awareness of health & safety procedures
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work with minimal supervision
- Team‑focused with good communication skills
- Long weekend every week
- Consistent weekday hours
- Ongoing work through JDR Recruitment
