Summary

A Part‑time (32 hrs) Project Worker (Complex Needs) in a Young Persons Supported Accommodation scheme in the Ammanford area of Carmarthenshire. You will work on a 4‑week rolling rota covering days, weekends, bank holidays and sleep‑in shifts (£62.64 sleep‑in allowance).

About the Role

As a Complex Needs Project Worker you will support the Manager with facilitating young person goal plans and work extensively with clients to advise on re‑housing options. You will make referrals to other agencies for temporary and permanent accommodation in partnership with our resettlement team. You will liaise with Social Services, Benefits Agencies, Housing Department, Resettlement Workers, Health and Safety and other relevant agencies on matters affecting prospective and current clients.

Part of your role will be to promote mental health recovery and seek treatment and recovery for substance misuse where applicable. We strive to ensure that everyone we support receives the very best support to regain control of their life and sustain their independence. This challenging role may involve complex situations and difficult behaviours, requiring adaptability to engage with a diverse clientele.

Skills

and Experience Needed
  • A driving licence and access to a car
  • A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a similar role or equivalent training or qualification
  • Experience of working with young people
  • A passion to work with and enable people to live as independently as possible
  • An enthusiasm and passion for making a difference to people’s lives
  • A strong initiative and ability to work alone as well as being a great team player
  • Ability to deal with conflicting and difficult situations and lone work
