Role Overview

We are currently looking to expand our team with a seasoned professional who can lead and grow our Pass-Through Entity (Partnership) and High Net Worth Individual Tax Practice. The Senior Manager – Partnership & Individual Tax will be responsible for managing complex tax compliance and advisory engagements for partnerships and high‑net‑worth individuals.

Key Responsibilities Tax Compliance & Review
  • Oversee the preparation and review of complex Form 1065 and related Schedule K-1s, Form 1040, and state filings.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of tax work papers, elections, basis computations, and allocations.
  • Manage multi-tiered partnerships, foreign partners, and state composite filings.
Tax Advisory & Planning
  • Provide technical advisory on partnership allocations (capital, income, loss, credits), tax basis and capital account maintenance (including 704(b) and tax basis), Section 199A, 754 elections.
  • Provide strategic tax planning advice to high‑net‑worth individuals, with a focus on wealth transfer strategies, including U.S. gift and estate tax planning, generation‑skipping transfer (GST) tax, and cross-border inheritance tax considerations, where applicable.
Client Relationship Management
  • Act as a primary point of contact for clients; proactively identify planning opportunities and manage deadlines.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with clients, ensuring responsiveness and high-quality service.
Team Leadership & Development
  • Supervise and mentor staff and managers; provide technical training and performance feedback.
  • Collaborate with partners to manage workflow and develop junior talent.
Practice Development
  • Support business development initiatives by participating in client pitches, preparing proposals, and identifying cross‑selling opportunities.
  • Stay abreast of current tax developments and share relevant updates internally and with clients.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum 8 years of U.S. public accounting or tax advisory experience focused on pass-through entities and individual tax. Prior experience in a Big 4 or national accounting/consulting firm preferred.
  • Strong technical skills in partnership and individual taxes- both federal and state.
  • Proficient knowledge of automated tax processing systems and Microsoft Office tools, including hands‑on experience with advanced Excel features, Thomson Reuters Gosystems and tax research applications.
  • Excellent supervisory, analytical, and leadership ability.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to articulate complex information.
  • Demonstrate problem solving ability along with attention to detail and coordinating multiple tasks simultaneously.
