Admission and Discharge Specialist - Amory Surgery Clinic

Join to apply for the Admission and Discharge Specialist - Amory Surgery Clinic role at North Mississippi Health Services.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the daily functions and activities of the clinic with 1-3 providers and less than 10 employees.
  • Assure patient satisfaction goals, clinical goals, and quality standards are met.
  • Supervise and provide coaching for employees within scope of responsibility.
  • Schedule staff members to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Ensure that all employees within scope of responsibility have adequate knowledge of the required policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain budgets to meet departmental and organizational goals including personnel, expenses, and revenue, with a budgetary expectation of less than 10,000 encounters.
  • Maintain efficient and effective communication between clinic staff, NMMC, NMMCI, and NMHS administrative staff.
  • Adhere to NMHS/NMMCI policies, procedures, guidelines, and comply with State/Federal/Regulatory laws, policies, and guidelines.
Qualifications (Job Knowledge)
  • Associate degree in Business Management or related field required; high school diploma with one year of supervisory or managerial experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of one year of supervisory/managerial experience; preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a clinic or other ambulatory setting; preferred.
  • Ability to work well with a wide variety of people.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent computer application skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills (written and oral).
  • Knowledge of State and Federal Regulations regarding clinic systems.
  • Interaction with a patient population of all ages ranging from neonates to geriatrics.
