Merchandise Specialist

The Challenge
In the fast-paced world of FMCG, availability is everything. As our  Merchandising Team Lead , you will be responsible for ensuring our products are 'First Seen, First Bought' across Amritsar's key retail touchpoints—from modern trade outlets in Ranjit Avenue to high-frequency kirana networks. You will lead a field team to dominate the shelf, manage stock freshness, and execute lightning-fast schemes.

Key Responsibilities
Planogram Execution:  Ensure 100% compliance with secondary displays, floor stacks, and eye-level shelf placement (Share of Shelf).
Expiry & FIFO Management:  Lead the team in strict First-In-First-Out (FIFO) protocols to minimize damages and market returns.
Team Deployment:  Route planning for a team of 10+ merchandisers to cover maximum outlets daily with high efficiency.
Competitor Tracking:  Provide real-time feedback on competitor pricing, new launches, and 'Free-with-Purchase' schemes in the local market.
Relationship Management:  Build strong rapport with Store Managers and Distributors to secure premium display real estate.
Data Reporting:  Use SFA (Sales Force Automation) tools to report stock-outs, display compliance, and off-take patterns.
Required Skills & Experience

Experience:

5+ years in FMCG Merchandising or Sales, with at least 2 years leading a field team.
Local Knowledge:  Deep familiarity with Amritsar's geography (e.g., Putlighar, Lawrence Road, Chheharta) and its wholesale/retail hubs.
The 'Hustle':  Ability to work on-field 80% of the time, rain or shine.
Analytical

Skills:

Ability to calculate 'Days of Inventory' and 'Category Growth' on the fly.
Communication:  Strong command of Punjabi and Hindi to manage ground-level staff and local shop owners.
