Financial Accountant

We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our Amsterdam team. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational finance processes, including processing supplier invoices, reconciling account statements, processing incoming and outgoing payments, and managing the complete debtor and creditor administration. Day-to-day communication with wholesale clients on outstanding invoices is handled by sales support, while finance is responsible for escalation, including sending overdue debtors to cash collection, matching incoming payments, and keeping the ageing listing up to date.

You will work closely with sales support and our factor Hilldun on debtor management, and ensure accurate, timely processing of all financial transactions. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic environment, is highly accurate, and takes ownership of the operational finance processes.

• Process supplier invoices
• Process incoming and outgoing payments
• Manage the complete debtor and creditor administration and all related tasks; day-to-day communication with wholesale clients is handled by sales support, while escalation is the responsibility of finance
• Send overdue debtors to cash collection when required
• Work closely with Hilldun (factor) on debtor and receivables management
• Match incoming payments from the PSP (payment service provider)
• Keep the ageing listing up to date
• Ensure accurate financial records and maintain data integrity across systems

• A minimum HBO level with at least 2 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
• Proficiency in ERP systems (Exact Online is a plus)
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
• Proactive, structured, and solution-oriented mindset
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and international environment
• Fluent in English, Dutch is a Plus
• Based in Amsterdam
