As Freelance Delivery & Operations Lead, you’llbetheoperationalheartbeat of the team. Workingcloselywiththe Manager & Solution Owner, Business Analyst, Developers and Engineers, you’ll turn prioritiesintoexecution, manage dependencies and make sure delivery remainspredictableandeffective.

Thisisn’t a traditional Project Manager or Scrum Master position. You’ll combine delivery excellence, operationaloversightand stakeholder coordination to help the team achieveitsobjectives.

• Coordinatingtheday-to-day delivery of theteam’sroadmapandinitiatives, including planning, refinement, prioritisation and release activities;
• Tracking progress, risksanddependenciesandensuringtransparency on delivery status, milestonesandoutcomes;
• Coordinatingoperationalactivitiesacrossthe product landscape and supporting incident, problem and change management;
• Monitoring operational performance anddrivingcontinuousimprovements in ways of working, tooling and team effectiveness;
• Acting as a centralcoordination point forthe team, supporting capacity planning, workload management andtheremoval of delivery impediments;
• Facilitatingcollaborationbetween Engineers, Business Analysts, Architectsandother stakeholders;
• Workingcloselywith Product Owners, Solution Owners, business stakeholders, andtogetherwiththe Solution Owneracting as a first entry point for business demand;
• Preparing recommendationsanddecision-making forthe Solution Ownerandcommunicatingprogress, risksanddependencies in a clearandstructured way.

This is a freelance assignment with a hybrid way of working. Youcanbebased in Belgium or the Netherlands, with Antwerp or Amsterdam as yourmain Mediahuis location. Giventheinternational scope of the team, we expectyoutobeflexibleandwillingtoworkfromandtravelbetweenthe different Mediahuis locationswhenneeded.

What’s on your CV, is important but is by no means theonlything we attachimportanceto.

You have proven experience in delivery, project management, product operations or service management within a technology environment. You understand software delivery andoperationalprocessesand feel comfortablecoordinating multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously.

You’reorganised, pragmaticandcommunicative, with a structured and data-driven approach to decision-making. Youidentifyrisksearly, proactivelyworktowardssolutionsand focus on outcomesratherthanprocessesforprocess’ sake.

As you’llcollaborateacrossour

Belgianand Dutch organisation, a strong command of both Dutch and English is important. You feel comfortablecommunicatingwith different colleagues and stakeholders in both languages.

Experience with subscription-based businesses, digital products, media organisations or customer-facing platforms is a plus. Familiarity with Agile delivery practices and experience with platform transitions or transformationprogrammeswouldalsobevaluable.
