Unfair is an artist-first organisation. Since our founding, we have collaborated with over 650 artists across more than 70 events. These collaborations form the backbone of our organisation and offer our visitors — collectors, viewers, and professionals — a unique perspective on contemporary visual art. Currently, we are working towards UNFAIR
26, the upcoming edition of our four-day art fair, taking place at De Gashouder in September 2026.
Are you enthusiastic about arts and culture, and looking for a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on experience at a cultural organisation? Unfair is looking for a motivated, organised and creative individual to join the team.
DETAILS- starting in April 2026
- 6 months
- 4 days a week (full-time leading up to our events)
- office based in Amsterdam
- internship compensation available
As a content & communications intern, you will work closely with the rest of the team on a wide range of activities, from campaign strategy and social media to partnerships and content production with artists.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO- Is proactive and eager to realise creative ideas
- Enjoys writing in both Dutch and English
- Communicates clearly and easily connects with people
- Has a strong understanding of social media
- Is able to multitask and problem-solve
- Can plan effectively and meet deadlines
- Is comfortable working with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Mailchimp
- Has a basic understanding of InDesign and Photoshop (a plus)
- Has experience with photography and/or videography (a plus)

As part of a small and motivated team, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of projects and gain hands‑on experience by contributing directly to the production of UNFAIR
26 and other events.
