Overview
The Operations Agent Energy will be responsible for a multitude of global operational duties including quoting, tracking & tracing, vendor/agent relations, problem resolution, and high-level customer service. Special expertise and experience in international air operations, QMS compliance, ocean service liaison and report generation.
Responsibilities- Position will have primary responsibility for providing transportation services of all modes to Energy product accounts. That responsibility will include shipment quotes, commencement of shipments in AIT systems, procurement, and dispatch of vendors to customer locations around the world and conclusion of the shipment including invoicing.
- Act as the primary contact for designated customers and responsible for the outcome of assigned projects including quoting, customer service, tracking, routing, problem resolution, vendor compliance, invoicing, quality management and customer interaction
- Tracking and tracing shipments on a daily basis. Track overhead shipments daily and route accordingly. Maintain notes and correct status codes in AIT’s systems for all shipments assigned. Work closely with customer service teammates to provide thorough turnover to ensure complete coverage for customers during nights and weekends.
- Quoting and routing freight across multiple transportation modes and services:
Domestic & International - Answer phone calls and respond to all e-mails on a timely matter - mailbox time slot replies/action with 1 hour
- Manage daily tracking worksheet for proactive communication, resolve anomalies and inform customer of issues.
- Assisting local sales and other offices with freight issues
- Collect, scan, and file all paperwork daily
- Other duties as business deems necessary
- Ensure all customers and company SLA’s, KPI’s & SOP’s are adhered, followed and guidelines are met.
- Execute all Dangerous Goods shipments in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations (as applicable).
- Contribute actively to a healthy and secure work environment by reporting unsafe/unsecure/unhealthy conditions and possible improvements.
- Associates Degree or equivalent
- Experience of 3-5 years
- Experience in international operations is mandatory, freight forwarding experience is preferred.
