Midlevel Interior Architect

The role

Lead hospitality, retail, and residential projects from concept to completion, combining strong conceptual thinking with thoughtful spatial design and a collaborative mindset. Work closely with the Art Director, the design team (interns, junior, medior, senior designers), clients, and execution partners to develop and deliver interiors.

Studio Modijefsky, founded by Esther Stam in 2009, is an interior architecture studio based in the heart of Amsterdam. With an international and diverse team of around 10 designers, we work on spatial interventions and interiors for a wide range of clients, including hotels, private residences, offices, museums, boutiques, bars, and spas.

• Own projects from concept design through to construction documentation and hand‑over.
• Collaborate with the design team and external partners to develop and refine spatial solutions.
• Present concepts and detailed design to clients and stakeholders.
• Ensure design quality, constructability, and compliance with client requirements.
• Mentor junior team members in design and technical tools.

• EU work permit required.
• Minimum 4–8 years of professional interior architecture experience (excluding internships).
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD for 2‑D drafting, annotation and technical construction drawings.
• Proficiency in Sketch Up for interior space modelling and presentation‑ready visualisations.
• Experience with Enscape for real‑time rendering and walkthroughs.
• Basic Adobe Creative Cloud skills for creating client presentations and documentation.
• Fluent or native Dutch language skills preferred.
• Willingness to work in or around Amsterdam.
