Vocational High School InternshipIf you are enrolled in a Level 4 MBO program in social work, you can visit one of the walk-in centres or participate in a work placement program. You can find more information about walk-in centres and work placement programs on this website. To apply for an MBO internship, visit stage, Please include your resume and indicate your available internship days, your internship period, and the number of hours you need to complete per week.

College internshipIf you are in your second year of a social sciences associate degree program (such as Social Work or Education) and are looking for an internship of 16 hours or fewer per week, you can join our Informal Care department as a buddy. You’ll provide support to people in various areas of need, such as financial difficulties, mental health, addiction, youth and young adults, asylum seekers, language buddies, and much more.

If you’re interested in a combined internship at both a walk-in centre (serving the homeless and those struggling with addiction) and Informal Care, this is possible. You will do an internship one day a week at a walk-in centre, and for the remaining hours of your internship contract, you will work at Informele Zorg as a buddy.

If you are in your third year of a Bachelor’s program in Social Work and Services (MWD), you can do an internship with the social work department at De Regenboog. It is an advantage if you are fluent in multiple languages. Want to know more about the possibilities for an MWD internship? stage
CustomizationIf your program isn't listed here but you're interested in De Regenboog Groep, please contact our internship coordinators. Together, we'll see if there's an opportunity. Email us at stage.
Internship ContractDepending on the number of internship hours you complete and/or your personal situation, you may be offered a volunteer agreement or an internship agreement. We will discuss this during your introductory interview.
If you choose the combined internship between the walk-in centre and Informal Care, you are entitled to a half‑day stipend (7 euros per half‑day).
Minimum duration and fixed daysInternships at Informele Zorg last at least 10 months. Your school will provide you with your internship schedule, which we follow at De Regenboog Groep.
HBO internships at the IZ always start in February and September. They last for 10 months. At some work sites, you can also start at other times, for example at the walk‑in centres (for MBO internships).
Certified training companyDe Regenboog holds numerous SBB accreditations and is therefore an officially recognized training company. We do not offer the Vocational Training Program (BBL), under which you would be employed by De Regenboog.
