Within the Research, Development & Innovation department, you collaborate in multidisciplinary project teams to create innovative maritime engineering solutions and translate concepts into tangible specifications for shipbuilding projects.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Lead the full design and development process , from requirement analysis and concept creation to defining system architecture using 2D/3D CAD, MBSE models, and single‑line diagrams.
Perform weight and stability estimations , perform weight calculations and stability assessments to ensure compliance with class regulations and safe vessel performance throughout all design phases.
Evaluate and develop new maritime concepts , lead Proof‑of‑Concept studies, and report on technological feasibility and findings.
Translate concepts into detailed deliverables , including models, technical documentation, and equipment specifications, supported by clear reports and presentations.
Facilitate strong collaboration between stakeholders and internal teams to ensure integrated design processes and successful project execution.
Skills & Experience
A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture, Maritime Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
At least three years of hands‑on experience in design, proposal development, or R&D within naval shipbuilding, maritime, or offshore industries.
A proven ability to deliver meaningful innovation within your technical domain.
Proficiency with relevant CAD tools and engineering analysis software.
Strong command of the English language, spoken and written.
Excellent references, as security screening is required.
Permanent EU nationality, due to the defence‑related nature of the projects.
