Do you have experience in designing and developing instrumentation systems for offshore and energy projects? Can you ensure that instrumentation systems are designed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes and regulations?
- For one of our clients executing complex engineering projects, we are looking for an Instrumentation Designer.
- Tasks & responsibilities:
Work closely with Project Engineers, Project Managers, and other stakeholders to develop design concepts for instrumentation systems.
Design and model instrumentation systems using CAD software such as AutoCAD or Micro Station.
Develop detailed drawings, schematics, and diagrams of instrumentation systems.
Select and specify instrumentation components such as sensors, transmitters, and control systems.
Perform sizing calculations and ensure that the instrumentation systems meet project requirements and standards.
Ensure that the instrumentation systems comply with applicable codes and regulations, such as API, ISO, and IEC standards.
Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, such as Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, to integrate the instrumentation systems into the overall project design.
Conduct site visits to collect data and perform surveys for the design and modelling of instrumentation systems.
Review and check designs and documentation produced by other team members or contractors.
Provide technical guidance and support to other team members, such as Junior Designers or Drafters.
Participate in design reviews and other project meetings.
Stay up to date with the latest instrumentation technologies and best practices.
Requirements Instrumentation Designer
At least 3 years of experience working for an engineering company.
Experience in greenfield instrument/fire detection/telecommunication detailed design.
Experience with offshore platform design.
Experience with HV substations design.
Experience with telecom systems like CCTV, PAGA, door access control systems, WiFi, and Local Area Networks.
Proficient in preparing instrumentation detailed design deliverables like:
Cablelist
Instrument/telecom/Fire detection diagrams
Instrument/telecom/Fire detection layouts
Termination diagrams
Mounting typicals
Loop diagrams
Familiar with E3D.
Proficient in Smart Plant Instrumentation.
