We are collaborating with various clients in North Holland and seeking pragmatic, dynamic professionals in the field of Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE).
Eligibility :
This opportunity is exclusively open to EU citizens.
The Role :
QHSE professionals will play a critical role in enhancing and maintaining the highest standards of safety and environmental responsibility in the steel industry, especially focusing on Blast Furnace (Iron Making) and Basic Oxygen Furnace (Steel Making) operations worldwide.
Key Qualifications :
In-depth knowledge in ISO 9001 and ISO 45001.
Familiarity or keen interest in machine directives and hazardous substances.
Proficient communication skills in both Dutch and English.
A pragmatic and dynamic team approach.
Sensitivity to political environments and an active listening skillset.
Proficiency in industry-relevant software.
Willingness to travel on an incidental basis.
Responsibilities :
Development and implementation of effective QHSE policies and procedures.
Conducting risk assessments ensuring compliance with legislation including hazardous substances, Atex, CE, Arbo, etc.
Monitoring QHSE performance, pinpointing areas for enhancement.
Collaborating with internal teams to address environmental and safety concerns.
Staying updated with pertinent regulations and steel industry best practices.
Facilitating training sessions to bolster QHSE consciousness amongst employees.
Engaging in both internal and external audits, inspections to evaluate compliance.
Providing expert advice on pivotal HSE topics at construction sites.
Commitment : A balanced work-life schedule with a 3-4 day per week requirement.
Reporting :
The selected professional will be an integral part of the QHSE department, reporting directly to the QHSE Manager.
