About

The Role  We're looking for a leader for our Customer Asset Storage team based in Amsterdam. This team builds and maintains the core systems that securely store all customer-generated assets and handle authentication across our global user base. This is a critical function that helps millions of people create personalized photo products. As Engineering Manager, you'll lead a talented team, driving technical excellence, and ensuring our infrastructure supports evolving business needs.

You'll also take on broader initiatives to make a positive impact across the entire Engineering department.
Responsibilities   You'll lead a team of 7 engineers
You'll help individuals grow their careers while holding them accountable for high performance
You'll partner with a Product Manager to define and scope projects aligned with our OKRs and strategy
You'll communicate with stakeholders at every level
You'll oversee design decisions and cultivate best engineering practices
You'll create opportunities for technical exploration and innovation
Our Tech Stack

Languages:

Mainly C#, some Node.js and Python
Frameworks: .NET Framework, .NET Core, .NET 8
Cloud Hosting: AWS S3, SNS, SQS, Lambda, ECS
CI/CD:
Infrastructure as code using CDK, some Terraform, Jenkins, Octopus Deploy

How You Make Your Mark   You'll build and lead a high-performing team
You'll ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of customer data and assets
You'll drive continuous improvement on key metrics like business value and cost efficiency
You'll lead standardisation efforts on people, processes, and technology
You'll influence decisions across the technical organisation
You'll establish partnerships to amplify your team's impact
What You Bring To The Team   A solid track record of building and leading high-performance engineering teams
Experience navigating a complex customer landscape with competing priorities
Experience building platforms using agile delivery methods
Experience guiding teams through significant technical decisions
Excellent communication skills, making complex topics simple and transparent
A history of making work fun and joyful
Prior experience as a software engineer
What Sets You Apart   A degree in a STEM field like Computer Science or Software Engineering
Knowledge of the e-commerce domain
