As an Industry Technical Consultant, you will be primarily responsible for troubleshooting and solving complex clients’ problems, training technical audiences, recommending operational efficiency improvements for clients’ utility systems, and validating new innovative technologies. You will also assist Corporate Account Managers and Sales Representatives in making technical sales calls and presentations at a corporate level. You will research, identify, and define market and product application opportunities and assist in developing and implementing marketing plans to capture identified sales opportunities.
What You Will Do
Collaborate with field sales and corporate account teams to support industry-specific or strategic technical sales opportunities.
Consult on thermal management solutions improving cold plate and cooling distribution unit performance.
Work closely with clients to understand their technology requirements, recommend suitable solutions, and provide training and support to ensure proper use of implemented systems.
Lead problem‑solving efforts by utilizing various root cause analysis methodologies to resolve application or best practice concerns at customer sites.
Assess water treatment programs, recommend and quantify operational efficiency improvement projects in a documented report.
Collaborate with R&D and Marketing on innovation projects, from ideation to launch, by completing Phase Gate milestones such as refining value propositions, defining operational savings, creating technical documentation, and educating internal and external stakeholders.
Lead innovation pilot applications, technical trials, and market trials.
Deliver value to customers utilizing a problem‑solving mindset to achieve innovative results.
Facilitate training for associates and customers, sharing your specialized knowledge to foster skill development and proficiency.
Coach individuals in the organization on processes, applications, technologies, and value documentation.
Your Profile
Demonstrable technical expertise and experience in optimizing cooling operations in the Global High‑Tech (GHT) segment.
Proven experience in complex chemistry, automation, digital, equipment, and engineered solutions both from Ecolab and the wider industry.
Inquisitive mind, challenging the status quo and embracing disruptive technologies.
Excellent communicator, able to consult, coach, and mentor both internal stakeholders and customers alike.
Value mindset with a focus on delivering measurable savings and impact to customers.
Solution‑oriented, problem‑solving mindset for complex challenges.
Willing and able to travel throughout Europe to customer sites.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree.
Strong technical knowledge of liquid cooling systems and solutions.
5+ years of successful technical implementation, production management, process engineering, technical sales, or field sales support experience.
Must have a valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Process).
Strong technical knowledge in liquid cooling applications.
Recognized as an expert in industry or technology focus.
Strong problem‑solving mindset and approach.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Self‑motivated, proactive, result‑oriented professional with an ability to work with minimum direction.
Excellent team orientation, proactivity, and sense of urgency in supporting business growth and market leadership through differentiated technology and expertise.
