Job Description
AECOM has been appointed to provide Engineering Procurement and Construction Services to our clients through an end‑to‑end delivery process with a focus on safety and operational excellence.

As Project Manager you will play a key role in all stages of the project, from strategy and consulting through feasibility, execution and successful handover of projects or programs. You will be part of a growing AECOM Benelux team with offices in the Netherlands and Belgium.

As Project Manager you will also be involved in projects focused on the Energy Transition sector which includes transportation electrification (EV), hydrogen and wider infrastructure decarbonisation solutions.

Your role can shift to other parts of the Energy space and AECOM’s wider ESG agenda.

Responsibilities

Deliver end‑to‑end project services within programme deadlines with a set of clear performance indicators.

Responsible for the operational delivery of the project.

Show a strong track record in operational delivery of HSSE processes and communication because HSSE is the most important KPI.

Strong interaction with the Client Team to maintain seamless communications and client confidence on all project delivery progress.

Strong management and leadership skills to motivate contractors and colleagues and provide excellence in execution to cope with the fast moving and extremely demanding programme.

Manage the delivery of client and AECOM HSSE requirements.

Manage the delivery of projects to the programme.

Manage the delivery of projects within agreed budgets.

Deliver savings on build projects and programme, where appropriate.

Manage the delivery of dealer projects and programmes to approved time and cost.

Qualifications

Engineering Degree or equivalent experience.

Minimum 3 years’ experience in an operational role.

Fluent Dutch (mandatory) and English language skills are required.

A leading example in compliance and ethics.

HSSE Leadership.

Confident and capable individual with strong client focus.

Recognized construction or design qualification (or similar experience).

Experienced in managing a diverse operational team.

Strong track record in delivering projects in a fast moving and challenging environment.

Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.

Good grasp of IT, particularly Excel and Word.

Full Driving Licence.
