The Corporate Real Estate (CRE) organization is a centralized department that is responsible for CRE activities worldwide, serving 40,000 employees.
Role and responsibilities As the Technical Facility Manager you act as the (technical/functional) area owner and thus know the internal customers, the business (production) processes, asset system relations and dependencies. The Technical Facility Manager is responsible for the business continuity and availability of the facilities and utility systems in a specific building cluster through securing effective and efficient maintenance operations.
As the expert counterpart, the Technical Facility Manager facilitates and supports suppliers with complex issues and continuous improvement in order to ensure and improve the reliability of assets. The core of this position lies in the judgement and coordination of solutions, securing correct communications and alignment and decision upon the necessary actions.
Peers in your team are other Technical Facility and Service Managers, Operations Improvement Manager, Facility Shutdown Manager and Maintenance Project Portfolio Manager.
You will report to the Operations/Tactical Asset Management Manager.
Manage the correct operational execution of preventive, predictive, corrective and compliance maintenance by the supply chain.
Align with relevant tactical / operational stakeholders; understand and translate the customer needs and monitor alignment with our services specifications.
In collaboration with your business partner and F&M internal stakeholders, translate service demand into annual plans, including activities forecasts and service changes per service line securing business continuity for your area. Evaluate and forecast the service demand capacity.
Coordinate with suppliers regarding practical implementation of changes to service levels or scope of work.
Drive and support the necessary operational communication to ensure efficient operations and relevant feedback to stakeholders.
Coordinate and follow up with supplier on execution of non-standard service requests.
Monitor processing of standard service requests through FMIS and Service Desk, and act if required.
Coordination with customer on practical interpretation of requests, ensuring a proper understanding of the customer demand.
Manage escalation, deviation and recovery processes.
Take the lead when operational disturbances occur, mobilize the required team of specialists and drive progress through the PCCSIM steps.
Manage smooth follow-up in issue resolution or requests for advice, directing suppliers, supporting customers and coordinating relevant stakeholders and specialists.
Manage the execution of risk & root cause assessments following incidents, inspections or other observations.
Be the on-call manager, for decision making regarding high priority issue resolution in order to secure business continuity (FRIC-high priority / control room management).
As responsible area technical owner, ensure proper action on safety issues, access management and work permit issuance.
Issue work permits, following review and approval by relevant specialists/co-signers.
Act as area owner (approving area access etc.).
Translate asset maintainability requirements to input for the engineering and design guidelines (EDG).
Act as a maintenance specialist towards customers, internal stakeholders and suppliers providing input and requirements for projects and advise when reviewing proposed changes (RfC process) and projects.
Education and experience Completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, asset management or similar.
At least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar complex (industrial) environment.
Solution-oriented & pragmatic.
Trouble shooter, Stress-resistant.
Excellent decision-making skills in fast-changing and complex environments, and capable of dealing with uncertainties.
Delegating and giving orders (towards suppliers).
Strongly results-orientated with a corresponding sense of responsibility; directs work and ensures accountability.
