Capex Portfolio Manager

The Capex portfolio and process department is part of the Global Projects department. The Global Projects department defines and executes the capital expenditures (capex) projects of Friesland Campina. In the Capex portfolio and process department, the capex portfolio is defined and maintained, as well as the way we work in capex projects.
As a Capex Portfolio Manager, you are responsible for building and maintaining the global capex portfolio. You will actively promote and manage the portfolio process. In order to do so, you are well connected to the business group capex cluster leads, the single-point-of-contacts for capex of the plants, project and program managers, and plant managers.
Your activities can be split into the following focus areas:
Preparation of Capex Portfolio Board and Capex Approval Board Meetings   Create and continuously improve comprehensive portfolio overviews, ensuring current, validated project information.
By building and maintaining the portfolio, ensure alignment of all portfolio projects with organizational strategic objectives.
Advise the portfolio board on project initiation, prioritization, and decision-making impact. Identify focus areas to align initiatives with company objectives and support senior management in defining the portfolio roadmap. Ensure critical dependencies are identified and monitored.
Proactively identify, quantify, and document portfolio risks.
Advise on mitigation actions and escalate high risks to the portfolio board, ensuring strategic goal realization.
Prepare 3-Year Plan and Budget, Reporting on Actuals and Forecast   Prepare 3-year plans and yearly budgets. Across the portfolio, optimize budget and resource allocation to the BGs and departments.
Provide insights into resource needs and allocation, advising management and resource managers for optimal resource allocation.
Check, challenge, and support adherence to agreed budgets and benefits. Define and maintain financial controls for project expenditures and forecasts, ensuring monitoring and updates.
Build a Periodic Process to Refresh Portfolio Data and Prepare Portfolio Updates   Build a strong routine to collect, refresh, and validate all project information from plants, departments, and business groups.
Analyze project portfolio data and metrics, monitor, and report on performance, including benefit tracking.
Constantly identify stakeholders and define communication and stakeholder management plans for the portfolio(s).
Tooling   Improve the use of our systems (including Fortes, SAP, Coupa, and Power BI) to manage project data and the capex portfolio.
