Field Engineer

Responsibilities
As Field Engineer you are responsible for adequately performed offshore engineering work for each project and provide technical advice to the (Assistant) Superintendent for construction as well as fabrication or structural maintenance activities, design and preparation of required modifications appliances on board of our vessels. You liaise between the Project Team (onshore and offshore) including vessel staff and corporate with the Assistant Superintendent and other deck Foreman to ensure a smooth job preparation and execution.

Furthermore you develop operational procedures, coordinate dimensional‑control surveys, assist in solving technical problems and actively contribute to improve the safety, efficiency and quality of all kind of processes.

Qualifications
Our desired candidate holds a Bachelor degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, has 4 to 8 years relevant experience in the design and calculation of structures and is well known in heavy lifting in an offshore environment. Excellent reporting skills, a practical mind, flexible attitude, the ability to communicate in a strong and clear manner, both in Dutch and English, are essential.

Working Schedule
Heerema has a 5 weeks on / 5 weeks off working schedule but this may fluctuate due to the nature of our activities.
