The Project Engineer is responsible for organizing and executing activities required to deliver validated IAI systems both internally and at customer sites in line with project planning and quality requirements. The role independently determines installation and commissioning steps to meet customer specifications and company standards. The Project Engineer ensures system performance, quality, and successful customer acceptance. The position involves both hands‑on technical work and coordination of installation activities.
International travel and on‑site work are integral parts of the role.

Software Engineer
Essential duties involve the complete software lifecycle for industrial machines, from architecture design to testing and maintenance.
Responsibilities
Being responsible for the complete software lifecycle
Determining the software architecture, design and development for our machines
Determining the system architecture for our machines
Testing software on the machines in our workshop
Meeting the challenging and continuously changing customer requirements
Proposing and realizing new technologies, innovations and improvements
Analyzing and solving reported failures on delivered machines
Assisting our Assembly & Test and Service Engineers with software‑related issues
Possibility to travel to customers to solve software-related issues on site
Qualifications
Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in developing software for complex machinery
Familiarity with concepts of state machines, control flow, threading, unit testing, real‑time programming, WPF and MVV
Ability to write code in C# or C; experience with Python a plus
Experience developing for the Windows Platform or B&R PLC platform
Ability to communicate with Mechanical, Electrical and Development Engineers
Experience with secure software development and Dev Ops a plus
Understanding of Agile and Scrum a plus
Excellent written and spoken English required;
Dutch and additional languages a plus
Must possess or be able to acquire a valid passport for potential travel and field work
Work Requirements

Travel and fieldwork, including international travel may be required, requiring a valid passport

Mechatronics Engineer
As our Mechatronics Engineer, you’ll support HID’s success by translating specifications into functional designs and control concepts, designing electrical systems, developing PLC‑based control software, and ensuring system compliance with safety and functional requirements.
Responsibilities
Translating specifications into functional designs and control concepts (PLC, motion, safety)
Designing and documenting electrical systems including schematics and I/O structures
Developing, testing, and maintaining PLC‑based control software
Implementing and optimizing motion control solutions
Testing and validating systems against functional and safety requirements
Analyzing and resolving technical issues and machine failures
Supporting Assembly & Testing, Service and Project Engineering teams
