Head of Engineering - SaaS - 130K + secondary benefits +STAK

Remote first possible but candidates need to be based in the Netherlands and open to meet at least a few times a month.

We are working with a SaaS scale-up with around 25 employees, of which 6 engineers. The company is operating remotely from the Netherlands. It is building a SaaS platform that is being used by companies worldwide to manage its quality processes.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop teams of in total ~6 engineers which will grow to approx 20 engineers

Improve team performance, delivery, and engineering quality

Coach engineers and support their technical and professional growth

Ensure the right people are in the right roles

Drive engineering processes, methodologies, and best practices

Partner with product and leadership on roadmap execution

Help define how AI is effectively used within engineering

Qualifications

Experience leading teams of similar size

SaaS experience

Strong technical background (able to coach and guide engineers)

Experience improving team performance and scaling engineering organizations

Clear perspective on processes, ways of working, and engineering culture

Interest and experience in applying AI within software development

Not hands-on, but still technically sharp
