Senior Engineer - EWIS Functional Design

Job Summary
As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for the execution of the functional design of electrical wiring interconnections (EWIS – Electrical Wiring Interconnect System). You will play a pivotal role in design and build programs, controlling and monitoring progress, scope, cost and configuration in a multi‑disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Design processes and methods / standards

Requirements validation

International drawing standards and methods

System design (components, constructions, schematics, wiring diagrams)

Wiring harness functional design

Integration aspects of design

Design verification (reporting of deviations)

Configuration management principles

Fundamental Knowledge

Aircraft and systems

Environmental conditions in aircraft

Interconnection systems

Basics of electronics and mechanics

Engine harnesses is a big plus

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in the aerospace industry

Proven experience working in a multi‑disciplinary international engineering environment

Proficiency with electrical design software for aerospace applications

Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)

Soft Skills

Assertiveness: willingness to learn, broaden knowledge, take initiative to improve processes and procedures

Teamwork: able to work constructively in a small team, take responsibility for assigned tasks and support other team members to achieve targets and deadlines

Results‑driven: able to plan work in line with project schedules, report progress regularly, and address issues or delays in a timely manner

Communication: fluent Dutch and English in speech and writing, able to communicate clearly and concisely (including technical reports) with a reasonable amount of flair and forthcomingness
