I am supporting a pioneering deep-tech company developing next-generation hardware systems for the rapidly advancing quantum computing industry.
They are looking for an experienced Hardware Validation Engineer to help test, characterise, validate and debug high-performance electronic hardware operating across high-speed digital, RF and ultra-low-noise analogue environments.
You will work closely with hardware, firmware and software engineers, contributing to the development of a next-generation modular technology platform.
The Role You will be responsible for:
Creating detailed test and validation plans from hardware specifications
Performing the initial bring-up of new PCB assemblies
Characterising high-speed digital, RF and low-noise analogue PCBAs
Debugging hardware prototypes at board and system level
Identifying signal-integrity, power-integrity, noise and performance issues
Developing and maintaining automated testing frameworks
Using Python for test automation, measurement and data analysis
Collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams to resolve complex technical issues
Producing detailed validation reports and technical documentation
Supporting and mentoring less-experienced engineers
What We're Looking For At least five years of professional hardware engineering or validation experience
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
Strong RF circuit design, simulation and measurement experience
Hands-on expertise with oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, VNAs and similar laboratory equipment
Strong Python skills for automated testing and data analysis
Experience debugging complex hardware at board and system level
Deep understanding of signal integrity and power integrity
Experience working with Altium Designer
Familiarity with Agile engineering environments and Jira
Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
Professional fluency in English
