What you'll do   Design and implement hardware-based trading systems that encompass both low-latency algorithms and high-bandwidth computations.
Manage the complete development lifecycle from initial concept through to deployment, crafting bespoke solutions for complex trading issues.
Work in close collaboration with software engineers and traders to understand trading challenges and deliver effective systems in a timely manner.
Utilize VHDL, Verilog, and System Verilog to develop and validate FPGA and/or ASIC designs.
Conduct thorough testing and validation of hardware systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Write and apply timing, area, and other relevant constraints for RTL synthesis to meet project specifications.
Engage with digital simulation tools and create self-checking test benches to streamline the validation process.
Participate in post-silicon bring-up and debugging activities to ensure successful deployment of hardware solutions.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies within the team.
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in FPGA technology to enhance system performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate the rapid integration of hardware and software systems.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and interns in the team.
Requirements   A Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is essential.
Demonstrated experience in the design, coding, testing, and validation of FPGAs and/or ASICs is required.
Strong proficiency in VHDL, Verilog, and System Verilog; familiarity with C or C++ is a plus.
Knowledge of RTL synthesis and the ability to define timing, area, and other constraints effectively.

Experience with digital simulation tools and the development of self-checking test benches is necessary.
A background in post-silicon bring-up and debugging is advantageous.
Ability to collaborate closely with software developers for seamless system integration is crucial.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration with various stakeholders.
Nice to have   Experience in high-frequency trading environments or financial technology is a plus.
Familiarity with advanced FPGA architectures and tools.
Knowledge of hardware-software co-design methodologies.

Experience with performance optimization techniques for FPGA designs.
Understanding of trading systems and market dynamics can be beneficial.
Skills & tools   Proficient in VHDL, Verilog, System Verilog, and RTL synthesis tools.
Familiar with digital simulation tools and hardware debugging equipment.
Knowledge of software development practices, particularly in C or C++.
Strong grasp of FPGA development environments and methodologies.
Familiarity with version control systems and collaborative development tools.
