Join a rapidly growing AI-focused hyperscaler delivering the next generation of high-density GPU data centres across Europe and globally. The organisation is investing heavily in expanding its AI infrastructure, supporting the growing demand for large-scale, high-performance compute.
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced MEP professional looking to play a key role in the expansion of hyperscale AI infrastructure. You'll work alongside Site Acquisition, Technical Due Diligence, and Construction teams to evaluate prospective data centre sites, providing technical expertise across mechanical, electrical, and public health systems to assess site viability, identify technical risks, and support projects from early due diligence through to construction and commissioning.
Responsibilities:
Travel regularly across EMEA and occasionally internationally with the Site Acquisition and Technical Due Diligence teams to assess prospective data center sites
Carry out technical due diligence across mechanical, electrical and public health infrastructure, identifying risks, constraints and development opportunities
Evaluate whether sites are capable of supporting high density AI and HPC workloads
Support mechanical and electrical design reviews throughout the project lifecycle
Work closely with internal engineering teams to ensure new sites align with global engineering and design standards
Coordinate with external consultants, utilities, contractors and vendors during technical assessments
Review technical reports, drawings and site surveys, providing recommendations on feasibility and required upgrades
Support commissioning planning and ensure designs transition smoothly into live operations
Contribute to the continuous improvement and standardisation of MEP design standards across the global portfolio
Required Skills/
Qualifications:
Around 5+ years of experience within MEP engineering
Experience working on data centers or other mission critical facilities such as hospitals, pharmaceutical, semiconductor or industrial environments
Good understanding of mechanical and electrical building services, including HVAC, cooling systems, power distribution and critical infrastructure
Experience reviewing technical drawings, specifications and consultant designs
Exposure to technical due diligence, site assessments, design engineering or construction projects is highly desirable
Comfortable working across multiple disciplines and collaborating with engineering, construction and acquisition teams
Willingness to travel regularly across Europe with occasional wider international travel
Strong communication skills and the ability to present technical findings to both engineering and commercial stakeholders
