Job Description & How to Apply Below
You’ll work closely with internal teams while partnering directly with utilities, DSOs, TSOs, and customers to deliver practical power solutions that support electrification and future growth.
This role will lead energy capacity planning across the portfolio, coordinate with utilities on grid connections and upgrades, and help customers secure the electrical infrastructure needed for new and existing facilities.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical knowledge of electricity infrastructure with experience working alongside utilities and customers to solve real‑world power constraints.
Responsibilities
Manage portfolio-wide energy capacity, including contracted capacity, available grid capacity, and future power demand.
Maintain accurate records of grid connections, substations, transformers, metering, and electrical infrastructure across the portfolio.
Work directly with DSOs, TSOs, and electric utilities to understand grid constraints, upgrade processes, and connection timelines.
Coordinate utility applications for new grid connections and capacity upgrades.
Assess customer power requirements and recommend appropriate energy solutions.
Develop strategies to address power shortages through solutions such as:
Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Solar PV, EV charging infrastructure, on‑site generation and other distributed energy technologies
Support data center and industrial developments by evaluating grid capacity and interim power solutions.
Forecast future electrical demand driven by electrification initiatives, including HVAC electrification, EV fleets, automation, and renewable integration.
Monitor electricity consumption across sites and identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency improvements.
Stay informed on European energy regulations, grid access policies, and utility requirements.
Represent the company in discussions with utilities, regulators, and other key stakeholders.
Qualifications
Approximately 5–7 years of experience in energy, utilities, or power infrastructure.
Experience working with: utility consulting firms, renewable energy developers, energy storage developers, EV charging developers and organizations that regularly work with electric utilities
Hands‑on experience helping customers secure utility power or navigate grid connection and interconnection processes.
Strong understanding of: electricity grid infrastructure, grid capacity assessments, utility interconnection processes, electrical infrastructure and renewable and distributed energy technologies
Experience with DSO/TSO interactions, power forecasting, or electrification planning is highly desirable.
Engineering degree (Electrical, Energy Systems, or similar) preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
Fluent in English; additional European language(s) are a plus.
