2nd Engineer

Short Description  Looking for your next rotation? Join a Non-MLC Barge in Dutch Waters as a 2nd Engineer on a 5:5 rotation.
Working alongside the Chief Engineer, you'll support the vessel's technical operations during a long-term project with multiple rotations. Daily travel to the barge is arranged, with accommodation provided ashore.
Function Description  You’ll be responsible for supporting the safe and efficient operation of engine room machinery while helping maintain the vessel's technical reliability.
Assist with daily engine room operations and machinery maintenance.
Carry out preventive maintenance and routine equipment inspections.
Support troubleshooting and repair activities when equipment issues arise.
Monitor machinery performance and report technical concerns.
Help maintain maintenance records and technical documentation.
Work closely with the engineering team to ensure safe vessel operations.
Promote a strong safety culture and maintain high operational standards.
Requirements  This role is suited to an experienced marine engineer who is comfortable working offshore and taking ownership of day-to-day technical responsibilities.
To Join The Project, You’ll Need   Experience as a 2nd Engineer onboard offshore or marine vessels.
Valid STCW certification.
Valid 2nd Engineer Unlimited CoC or equivalent recognised certification.
Strong technical knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and auxiliary systems.

Experience with engine room maintenance, inspections, and fault finding.
Eligibility to work within the EU.
Offshore certifications such as BOSIET, FOET, or HUET are preferred.
