About the Role
You will become part of a skilled project team, working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Procurement, and Commissioning teams. In this role, you will contribute to technically challenging projects where quality, reliability, and collaboration are key to success.
As a Senior Project Engineer, you will take ownership of the technical coordination and alignment of complex projects from sales handover through execution and commissioning.
Key responsibilities
Take ownership of the technical content, coordination, and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure technical requirements are clearly translated, properly challenged, and successfully implemented.
Act as the technical link between clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal departments.
Ensure technical specifications, interfaces, quality standards, and project objectives remain aligned.
Bring different disciplines together, align stakeholders, and create clarity in complex technical situations.
Translate the sales handover into a clear execution plan, including work instructions and test plans.
Define technical requests and specifications for emergency power systems.
Ensure smooth cooperation between Procurement, Engineering, and Commissioning teams.
Identify issues early, solve problems efficiently, and support decision-making in demanding project environments.
Occasionally visit project locations in the Netherlands and abroad to support technical alignment, inventory activities, and project coordination.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
Minimum 8 years of experience in a technical project-driven environment
Strong knowledge of low-voltage electrical systems; LV/MV experience is essential
Experience reading and interpreting P&IDs and single-line diagrams
Knowledge of controls and automation systems is an advantage
Experience with generator systems is considered a strong plus
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
Willingness to occasionally travel within the Netherlands and internationally
