You will guide engineers and apprentices, solve complex technical bottlenecks, and collaborate intensively with production, subcontractors, and suppliers. Your expertise directly influences the feasibility, quality, and craftsmanship of some of the most exclusive yachts built in the Netherlands.
This role is perfect for an experienced mechanical engineer who thrives in a multidisciplinary environment and enjoys working hands‑on with production challenges while contributing to continuous improvement and engineering excellence.
What you will do Oversee detailed mechanical engineering , 3D modeling , and equipment integration to ensure technical accuracy and production feasibility .
Lead and mentor engineers and apprentices, providing technical direction, coaching, and guidance.
Ensure compliance with Class and Flag regulations, internal standards, and project requirements.
Identify, analyze, and resolve complex technical bottlenecks in collaboration with structural, exterior, and outfitting teams.
Review and approve engineering documentation and drawings before release.
Support and advise production teams during the build phase, acting as the key link between engineering and the shipyard floor.
Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers on mechanical system specifications, feasibility, and integration.
Contribute to the development and improvement of engineering methods, standards, and best practices.
Support multidisciplinary design reviews and provide expert mechanical input during critical decisions.

What you already have BSc or MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
+5 years of experience as a mechanical engineer in yacht building.
Strong proficiency in 3D AutoCAD; experience with Teamcenter and Cadmatic
Knowledge of exterior engineering, moving equipment, mechanical integration, and onboard systems.
Insight into cable and panel planning, weight distribution, and budgeting.
Deep understanding of yacht-building production processes and construction methods.
Strong analytical skills and a high standard of quality and quality ?
Excellent communication skills and fluent English (spoken and written).
