Job Description & How to Apply Below
Senior Electromechanical Engineer   From validated prototype to series production
We are looking for an engineer who knows what it takes to turn a working prototype into a dependable series product. Someone who combines strong design judgement with experience on the production floor. If you have taken an electromechanical product through a production ramp and can explain what went wrong, what you changed and why, we would like to meet you.
About LV Energy  LV Energy develops technology that converts ambient energy into power for industrial applications. Our aim is to reduce dependence on batteries and the maintenance they require.
Our technology has been validated in paid pilots with international partners. We are now preparing the next step: industrialisation, repeatable production and long-term field reliability.
We are a small team with short lines, real ownership and room to shape both the product and the company. A funding round is in preparation, and this is one of the first positions it will fund.
The role  You will be the senior technical lead for product engineering and industrialisation. This is a hands-on role: you will work directly in the design tools, with prototypes, in the test environment and alongside manufacturing partners.
You will:
Translate application and customer requirements into clear product specifications.
Develop and refine the product through engineering analysis, simulation and physical testing.
Turn prototype designs into products that can be manufactured consistently at a viable cost.
Define verification and qualification plans, with reproducible tests and traceable results.
Select and work with suppliers and manufacturing partners.
Identify technical risks early and resolve them through evidence and sound engineering judgement.
Support customers and OEMs during product integration.
Help build the engineering team as the company grows.
The central challenge is to bring performance, reliability, manufacturability and cost together in a product that customers can depend on.
Who we are looking for  You have substantial experience developing electromechanical products and taking them into production. Your background might be in industrial equipment, precision engineering, instrumentation, automation or another field where physical products must perform reliably outside the lab.
Specifically, you bring:
Ten or more years of relevant engineering experience.
A degree in mechatronics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, applied physics or a related discipline.
Strong hands‑on experience with electromechanical design, simulation and experimental validation.
A track record of taking at least one product through a production ramp.

Experience with design for manufacturing, supplier management and product qualification.
The ability to make well‑reasoned decisions with incomplete information and revise them when the evidence changes.
Professional English. Dutch is useful but not required.
Production experience is essential. We want to understand what you personally owned, which problems appeared as volumes increased and how you resolved them.
You should enjoy detailed engineering work as much as taking technical responsibility. You will make design decisions, test assumptions and work through production issues yourself.
Previous experience in energy harvesting is welcome, but it is not a requirement.
What we offer   Technical ownership from product development through industrialisation.
Direct collaboration with the founders, customers and manufacturing partners.
The opportunity to shape the engineering organisation as it grows.
A salary appropriate to the seniority of the role and the company’s stage, plus participation in the share plan.
No cover letter is needed. Instead, write half a page about a product you helped industrialise: your responsibility, a production challenge you encountered and what you changed as a result.
Unsure whether your background fits? Get in touch. We value strong engineering judgement and production experience across industries.
