About the Role

As Group Venue Director you will be a strategic leader who drives operational excellence and commercial success across our theatres. You will maximize performance while elevating the customer experience, guiding budgets, financial statements, and strategic planning across venues.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic & Policy Leadership
    • Oversee theatre profitability, front‑of‑house operations, sponsor ships, events, facilities, and procurement.
    • Develop a clear vision and realistic plans aligned with the five‑year business strategy.
    • Drive front‑of‑house turnover growth and support entrepreneurial events exploitation.
    • Achieve revenue and cost optimisation targets, including procurement efficiencies.
    • Lead venue teams to embed an entrepreneurial mindset and deliver consistent service standards.
  • Short‑Term Policy Implementation
    • Translate approved plans into actionable local projects with goals, milestones, budgets, and timelines.
    • Set measurable targets for profitability, sponsor ships, and events.
    • Monitor and report performance to the COO, flagging deviations and recommending corrective actions.
  • Tactical / Operational Oversight
    • Maintain a clear overview of theatre profitability and processes.
    • Establish and enforce service standards for consistent operation.
    • Identify emerging trends and help local teams prioritise initiatives.
    • Integrate ESG and sustainability considerations into capital projects.
  • Reporting & Analysis
    • Define required data for monitoring front‑of‑house performance.
    • Ensure accurate, complete, and timely data delivery.
    • Analyse key performance indicators and recommend actions whenever deviations occur.
  • Stakeholder & Partnership Management
    • Maintain and expand relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Drive commercial partnerships, sponsor ships, and front‑of‑house profitability.
    • Represent Stage Entertainment as an ambassador for premium theatre experiences.
    • Facilitate international alignment and share best practices across venues.
Qualifications
  • Experience & Education
    • Proven track record of optimising multiple venues and delivering outstanding customer experiences.
    • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
    • Experience managing complex leisure or hospitality operations.
    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university;
      Master’s preferred.
    • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
    • Willingness to travel across Europe.
