About the Role
We are looking for our first full-time Finance hire to build and run Altura's internal Finance function as we scale beyond Series A. You’ll work closely with our fractional CFO to turn strategic goals into actionable financial plans, forecasts, and processes, while taking charge of day-to-day operations. From there, you will expand into financial planning & analysis, investor reporting, and compliance, building the foundations of a high-impact Finance function.

Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Operations
Oversee accounts payable/receivable, expense management (Moss), and accounting (Exact)
Support and then lead monthly closings and ensure accurate revenue recognition
Liaise with external accountants on VAT, payroll, and statutory filings
Financial Planning & Analysis
Build and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning
Monitor performance vs. budget and proactively identify risks and opportunities
Provide monthly reporting and analysis to the leadership team and board
Process, Compliance & Controls
Improve internal financial processes, cost-centre structures, and reporting dashboards
Implement policies on procurement, travel, reimbursements, and approvals
Ensure compliance with local regulations (NL, and UK as we expand)
3–6 years of experience in finance, FP&A, or accounting (startup/scaleup experience preferred)
Strong financial modelling and Excel/Google Sheets skills
Familiarity with SaaS metrics and revenue recognition principles
Hands-on, structured, and comfortable working in a fast-moving startup
Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus)
