About the Team

The Treasury team at Airwallex is a small, (4 FTE with you) but high‑powered team of experienced Treasury professionals, who work at the intersection of strategy, finance and execution, partnering cross‑functionally to manage a complex liquidity framework, financial risks and drive interest income.

About the role

You work together with our Senior Treasury Managers based out of China & Singapore and our Treasury Director based out of the Netherlands. We expect you to drive both strategic initiatives as well as keep the business running. With your strong background in Treasury we expect you to support the business when new products are introduced or new countries are entered.

You will be responsible for managing our financial risks and managing our end‑to‑end interest income related processes. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams and various international stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Liquidity Management; enhance and automate local and global liquidity processes. Work closely together with Financial Operations teams to strike a good balance between liquidity requirements and yield.

• Risk Management; identify, develop, and implement risk management strategies to mitigate risk exposures around counter party risk, liquidity risk, FX risk and other financial risks. Drive measurement of risk via Key Risk Indicators.

• Strategic Financial Planning: provide insights and recommendations on interest income and other Treasury related matters. Collaborate with teams as Strategic Finance, FP&A and Controllership to align on interest income budgets, forecasts and drive improvements of modelling, forecasting efficiency and reporting.

• Continuous Improvement; drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Treasury function. Identify processes that are currently not properly documented, and see these as an opportunity to introduce best practices that are fully covered by processes and policies that you will create. Use emerging technologies for process improvements, automation, and optimization of treasury operations.
